The Magicians Nephew

Dramatized by Aurand Harris Adapted from the story by C. S. Lewis
Come join us for a night of fun and flights of fantasy. See Narnia as it is just beginning, follow Digory and Polly as they explore other worlds, and see how the Witch first came to be in Narnia. Fun for the entire family.
Auditions for the Magicians Nephew, our spring show this year, will be held Mar. 13-15 from 3:30-5:30. They will, most likely, be held in the grade school’s multi-purpose building. The auditions are open to middle and high school students. If you are interested in dance or vocal performance, please see Mr. Mac about times and places for auditions for these two arts specifically. We perform in Wood-Mar Auditorium at George Fox University on May 18-20 and the 25-27.
Here is a short synopsis for those not familiar with the story of The Magician's Nephew: Overall, we get to see the creation of the land of Narnia, we meet Aslan and see how Digory ( the uncle in the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe) finds out about Narnia. He and his friend Polly travel to a couple different worlds where they encounter a witch and Aslan and other new creatures. While the play keeps with the general storyline, much of the book can't be portrayed on the stage effectively, so it has been slightly modified or left out. It is a fun story of travel and new experiences, which ends with a test of truth and loyalty.
The show is appropriate for families and we encourage you to bring children that may be interested in theater and the story of Narnia. The show will run approx. 1 and 1/2 hours.
Thanks, Mr. Mac
