C.S. Lewis Academy has been diligent from the very beginning of the pandemic to learn and work within the necessary guidelines to continue providing our quality CSLA education. In March we made a fast and nimble jump to what we call Teacher-Led, Learning at Home. This 2020-21 school year we've continued to keep student safety paramount while using all availability for personal connection and teaching/learning on campus.
CSLA did everything possible to open K-12 on-campus, on-time this fall. However, with late summer guidance, the Oregon State and Yamhill County infection rates will not meet the required metrics.
CSLA started the year with our Teacher-Led, Learning-at-Home model enhanced by utilizing a guidance exception which allowed all student to attend class on campus 2 hours each day in restricted cohorts.
On November 6, we transitioned our 1st-5th grade classes to full time, on campus, instruction, but shortly thereafter the county cases spiked and we were forced back to the 2 hour morning on campus model, followed by Teacher-Led, Learning-at-Home utilize Google or Zoom.
As of January 1, the ODE/OHA mandates have been moved to advisory only, giving all schools/areas discretion on their teaching models.
On January 11, C.S. Lewis Academy opened our elementary class levels for FULL-TIME, ON-CAMPUS instruction.
On January 26, our MS and HS classes resumed FULL-TIME, ON-CAMPUS instruction....making it the first day since March 13, 2021 that we have been fully operational on-campus for all levels, K-12.

OSAA adopts New 2020-21 School Activities Calendar
CSLA varsity high school programs will follow the new OSAA activities calendar. The 3 sports seasons have been consolidated with the Fall season being primarily in March/April, the Spring season in April/May, and Winter sports in May/June.
At this time we hope to also offer some grade school and middle school sports, those are yet to be determined, but if offered will roughly follow the high school seasons.
