Welcome from Dr. John Hynes

Executive Director, C.S. Lewis Academy

It is my great honor to serve as your Executive Director.

I have worked in Christian Education for my entire 30 plus year career and have been blessed to have been a part of a number of very dynamic organizations. Of the utmost importance in Christian Education is to recognize that we deal with eternal things. We believe that every student who enters our school has a mind, a body, and most importantly a soul. It is the soul that we care for the most, as it is the eternal part of a human being that will live in Glory with our Savior forever and ever. We are a Christian school because of the people who work here. All mature followers of Christ ready to capitalize on the myriad divine appointments that are preordained and occurring on a daily basis. This is the core of discipleship, and is what we strive to engage in every single day.

To serve God well, in addition to discipleship, I consider it my duty to provide excellence in every aspect of the educational process. If we presume to place young Christian students in future places of kingdom influence, we must prepare them to be academically competitive, athletically competent, and spiritually mature. To this end, we provide an outstanding K-12 curriculum that marries rigor with wonder and discovery with knowledge. Additionally, the over 90% of our student body who participate in athletics compete to win, as they learn teamwork, camaraderie, and both the triumphs and tribulations of athletic participation.

CS Lewis is a safe and loving environment where, as our past administrator put it, Aslan roams freely through the halls..
